We are currently seeking Management Trainees for the role of Bakery Supervisor at our Glendale, Arizona location. This is a full-time position with an hourly wage of $20 and requires weekend and holiday availability. The Bakery Supervisor trainee will undergo a comprehensive training and evaluation period lasting from six to eight months. Upon successful completion, the candidate will be assigned to oversee the bakery department within a store. The role demands a strong understanding of standard operating procedures, product knowledge, planning, ordering, organization, employee management, and other supervisory responsibilities. The Bakery Supervisor will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring the bakery department meets company standards, and collaborating with the store management team to design promotional plans that achieve sales targets. An important part of the role involves maintaining product displays, guaranteeing freshness, managing inventory, and coordinating deliveries. The position entails supervising employee schedules and attendance, coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews to promote a productive work environment. Maintaining a safe and clean workplace is crucial. Candidates must be capable of handling physical work in a variable temperature environment, meet lifting requirements, and adapt to a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. The role requires travel between stores for training purposes and familiarity with inventory management software and retail technology is highly preferred. Bilingual skills in English, Chinese, and Spanish are considered an advantage.   • 1-2 years experience in related fields with at least 1 year of management or supervisor experience
  • able to work in an environment with varying temperature and use equipment
  • capable of lifting 25+ lbs objects and standing for long periods

  • must be able to relocate if necessary
  • able to travel between different stores for training purposes
  • able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and training materials
  • able to speak, write, present, commute, and respond to information and questions
  • possess great interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • able to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass, and volume
  • familiar with inventory management programs, Microsoft Office, IT retail, or SAP highly preferred

  • bilingual English, Chinese, and Spanish highly preferred
  • authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Undergo training and evaluations for 6 to 8 months
  • manage the department's daily operation and meet company standards
  • work with the store management team to design store promotion plans and meet sales targets
  • maintain product display, ensure freshness, and keep shelves fully stocked
  • order products based on inventory, promotion events, and delivery schedules
  • receive poultry shipments and examine quantity and quality
  • control inventory movement including rotating product display, organizing freezer and cooler, and directing physical inventory count
  • use label updating and price sign printing computer programs efficiently
  • provide schedules to department employees and manage attendance
  • work on human capital management including coaching, operational training, mentoring, and performance review
  • maintain a safe and clean workplace
  • perform other duties as needed
