Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Less than a year of specific experience in baking, pastry-making, or working in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand, roam, or stay seated for lengthy periods
  • Ability to manage, transport, propel, or tug items less than 25 pounds without help
  • Ability to bend, twist, and reach up and down while pulling and stooping
  • Ability to engage in activities on unstable or irregular terrains including stairs and ramps

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Less than a year of specific experience in baking, pastry-making, or working in a kitchen environment
  • No licenses or certifications required
  • Ability to communicate professionally

Job Duties

  • Bake a variety of goods including pastries, bread, desserts, and more using standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Scale, blend, divide, and lay out the ingredients needed for daily baking operations
  • Safely manage and maintain baking machinery and equipment in good condition
  • Watch over ovens and kitchen tools to validate that appropriate cooking times and temperatures are adhered to
  • Abide by rules related to food safety and sanitation practices including correct storage of food items, personal hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Follow kitchen guidelines for setting up and dismantling workstations
  • Maintain the same standard of food quality and consistency for every batch made during the shift
