Employees here are part of a collective effort to make meaningful contributions through their roles, supported by values that foster mutual respect, spiritual growth, and professional development. Brigham Young University prefers to hire faithful members of The Church as it aligns with the faith-centered mission and workplace ethics.

The Full-time Bakery Specialist position at BYU's Culinary Support Center (CSC) Bakery is an essential role focused on producing a wide variety of baked goods including cakes, breads, cookies, and desserts. These products serve multiple dining locations across the campus, ensuring quality and consistency in campus dining services. As part of this role, the Bakery Specialist learns and adheres to standard operating procedures in a bakery environment, gaining extensive experience in culinary production processes and food safety practices.

The role also involves verifying product inventories and maintaining rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards for bakery equipment and surfaces. Physical demands of the position include moderate physical effort such as frequently handling items weighing up to 50 pounds, working in various physical positions, and organizing freezer inventory daily. The work environment may expose employees to varying temperatures and wet conditions, and appropriate safety measures and equipment, like coats for freezer work, are provided to ensure comfort and security.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range typically between $18.75 to $23.75 per hour, or $39,500 to $49,500 annually, with the actual compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
