Job Requirements
- Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation

- Knowledge of bakery products and baking techniques preferred
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for pricing and inventory management

- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
Job Duties
- Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand
- Smiles and greets customers
- makes suggestions
- answers questions about various products and preparation of cakes
- Helps resolve customer concerns in a prompt and courteous manner
- Mixes
- shapes
- proofs and bakes breads
- rolls
- sweet goods and cakes
- Also makes up various items for the refrigerated and freezer cases
- Fills donuts and places into frying oil
- Flips donuts with sticks
- removes donuts from oil and places onto racks for cooling
- Decorates cakes and other bakery products using basic designs
- Trims and cuts cakes to required specifications using dye or specific designs or may create custom designs
- Spreads icing on cakes surface and between layers
- Takes customer orders over the phone or in person at the store with a pleasant and positive attitude
- Determines what the customer is looking for in terms of size
- flavor and appearance
- Creates the finished decorated product in timely fashion
- Assists in filling

- and merchandising the bakery sales area while adhering to production logs
- Pulls out of code products from shelves and reduces to predetermined retail for quick sale
- Rotates items to ensure freshness
