Job Description
Bimbo QSR is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their Research and Development team in the bakery industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting research and product development activities for all BQ manufactured products, bringing in key skills and knowledge in new product ideas and concepts, and troubleshooting. They should be able to initiate product and processing concepts from idea to final production start-up and spearhead new technology development and its application into all baked good areas.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Grain/Cereal Science, Bakery Science, or Food/Agricultural/Biological Sciences
- minimum of 1 year of experience in Research and Development of foods, quality, or operations in the food industry, preferably in the bakery industry
- experience in production floor and operations
- completion of the AIB Residence course preferred
- knowledge of the baking process and functionality of ingredients
- excellent work record with demonstrated high levels of initiative and self-direction
- basic knowledge of national and international food regulations of food and its processes
- basic knowledge of safety standards (HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC) and their implications in food development and processing
- knowledge of Statistical Process Control, statistical design of experiments, and data collection and analysis preferred
