The role offered is a key position within the bakery team, responsible for all functions related to the preparation, counter service, and stocking of bakery products including breads, pastries, cakes, pies, and other baked goods. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $25.40, commensurate with experience, and includes access to Whole Benefits, which offers a comprehensive benefits package for full- and part-time Team Members. Responsibilities include producing quality bakery items using artisan techniques, decorating and finishing cakes and pies, managing inventory and stock levels, developing new recipes, and training other production personnel. The position involves physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and working with various tools and equipment. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of artisan breads and pastries, including cake decorating

Job Duties

  • Produces quality breads and pastries
  • produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars
  • performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products
  • stocks dry products
  • develops new recipes and production techniques to ensure seasonal variance and high productivity
  • trains production personnel to the highest standards in industry
  • performs production planning and forecasting for special events and holidays
