The role at Whole Foods Market involves key responsibilities related to the preparation, counter service, and stocking of baking products including breads, pastries, cakes, pies, and other baked goods. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Standing and walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling with hands
  • Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • May require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Produces quality breads and pastries
  • Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars
  • Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products
  • Stocks dry products
  • Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance and high productivity
  • Trains production personnel to industry standards
  • Performs production planning and forecasting for special events and holidays
