The Bakery Production Manager role at Bishop's Orchards is a pivotal position within the Culinary Operations team.   • ability to follow detailed recipes and production procedures accurately
  • strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP, OSHA, and bakery safety standards
  • comfortable working with commercial bakery equipment and production environments
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • basic computer and Microsoft Office skills preferred
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

  • Spanish language skills are a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee and participate in daily bakery production including breads, breakfast pastries, cookies, pies, cakes, donuts, bars, batters, and seasonal specialty items
  • supervise, schedule, train, and delegate tasks to bakery team members
  • create and execute daily production lists in collaboration with bakery leadership
  • ensure all products meet Bishop’s Orchards quality, freshness, consistency, and presentation standards
  • maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked bakery displays, storage areas, walk-ins, coolers, and freezers
  • monitor inventory levels, product rotation, and production needs throughout the department
  • follow and enforce FIFO procedures, food safety standards, sanitation requirements, and HACCP guidelines
