Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous baking or bakery experience preferred
- ability to work early morning shifts
- physical ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- valid food handlers card required

- customer service and retail experience desirable
- knowledge of basic baked products and standard baking production equipment
- ability to perform advanced baking methods
- effective communication skills
- multitasking ability
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully stocked cases
- support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
- possess knowledge of basic baked products and standard baking production equipment
- ability to perform advanced baking methods and multitask
- effectively communicate with management and baking team
- conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure proper levels
- maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- work with various bakery equipment including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
- take food orders in person and by telephone
- perform all other duties as assigned
