As a Bakery Manager at The Fresh Market, you will play a critical leadership role within the bakery department, overseeing all operations and ensuring that every aspect of the bakery meets the company’s high standards for quality, service, and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting guests proactively with a friendly demeanor, providing recommendations, and accommodating special requests to enhance the customer experience. You will also be responsible for managing order guides, coordinating ordering deadlines, minimizing shrink and damage, and ensuring the proper receiving, stocking, and rotation of bakery goods according to the company’s standards. Expertise in handling, slicing, and preparing various specialty breads, pastries, and convenient meal solutions is essential to maintain product quality and appeal throughout the day.

In this leadership capacity, you will direct team members to uphold The Fresh Market’s merchandising and stocking standards, while also fostering a motivational and educational atmosphere. You will engage with your team by coaching, training, and developing their skills both on-the-job and through internal training platforms, thereby ensuring excellent guest service delivered safely and securely. The Bakery Manager position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet operational demands.
