The Bakery Manager position at The Fresh Market encompasses a dynamic leadership role responsible for directing team members and overseeing the bakery department's operations. This includes managing inventory, ensuring pricing accuracy, and maintaining high standards for product handling and merchandising. Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • Minimum three years management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, or culinary industry
  • Ability to read and interpret merchandising layouts and schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and operational processes with attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, or culinary fields
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics for merchandising
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
  • Make recommendations and accommodate requests
  • Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, reduce shrink and damage
  • Properly receive and stock goods following rotation standards when replenishing product levels
  • Handle, slice and prepare a variety of the department’s specialty breads, pastry items and convenient meal solutions throughout the day
  • Direct teams to properly receive, stock, and merchandise goods according to The Fresh Market standards
  • Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and through internal training to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner
