The position being offered is that of a Bakery Manager, a vital leadership role within The Fresh Market team. Responsibilities of the Bakery Manager include greeting guests warmly, assisting them with product selections, and making personalized recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. The manager also ensures that bakery products such as specialty breads and pastries are properly handled, sliced, prepared, stocked following rotation standards, and merchandised according to company guidelines. Additionally, the Bakery Manager leads by example with team motivation, coaching, and training both on-the-job and through The Fresh Market's internal training platform to cultivate excellent guest service and maintain safety and security standards. This role requires a flexible schedule, as working on weekends, holidays, and various shifts is essential to meeting operational needs.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, or culinary fields
- Ability to read and interpret merchandising plans and layouts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, and/or culinary experience
- Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Duties
- Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
- Making recommendations and accommodating requests
- Managing order guides, ordering deadlines, reducing shrink, damage
- Properly receiving and stocking goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
- Handle, slice and prepare a variety of the department’s specialty breads, pastry items and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day
- Direct teams to handle, properly receiving, stocking, and merchandising of goods that follow The Fresh Market standards
- Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job as well as through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner
