Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years retail grocery experience
- able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be at least 18 years old
- outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a team
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- capable of performing general housekeeping and sanitation
- able to operate bakery equipment and machinery
- able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- comply with safety and health regulations
- maintain Food Handlers permit
- knowledge of personnel and financial reports
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a minimum of 2 years retail grocery experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- exhibit good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation in bakery
- capable of operating knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- knowledge of scales and weight measures for accurate labeling
- able to stand for extended periods and carry items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain Food Handlers permit
- possess working knowledge of personnel and financial reports
Job Duties
- Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
- supervise and monitor product quality and consistency
- track inventory and manage the bakery's budget
- evaluate department conditions and operations to identify strengths and improvement areas
- ensure compliance with company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity
- execute correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage of bakery products
- manage department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes
- plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit
- engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and development discussions
- recruit, hire, and make promotion or transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
- address Team Member concerns and document corrective actions when needed
- create and adjust schedules and staffing levels for maximum productivity
- communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
- lead a team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences
- serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed
