Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work in hot and cold store conditions
  • Strong coordination and manual dexterity
  • Good hearing and ability to respond to customer inquiries
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and direction of bakery department activities
  • Cost out all materials to determine proper retails
  • Create master production sheets
  • Implement company training, evaluation, and counseling procedures for department personnel
  • Teach fundamentals of bakery production including mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing
  • Plan aggressive merchandising programs for increased sales
  • Maintain control of department labor and inventory within budgets
  • Ensure department security in compliance with company policies
  • Monitor competitive activity in the store's market area
  • Conduct receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of bakery products
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth bakery operations
  • Maintain department records accurately
