Job Duties
- Champions corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals
- plans, organizes and directs day-to-day operations of the Bakery Department
- conducts daily inspections and initiates corrective measures
- oversees and assists with bakery duties such as proofing, baking, decorating, slicing and packaging
- implements promotional and seasonal displays
- prevents shrink and controls expenses
- accurately completes paperwork and maintains logs
- orders, receives and controls inventory
- maintains bakery cooler and freezer
- ensures bakery product quality and standards
- ensures proper merchandising and compliance with laws
- follows company policy in handling quick sale items
- complies with health and food safety standards
- assists customers with special orders and suggestive selling
- ensures cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- handles customer relations
- monitors sales and labor reports
- attends training and sales meetings
- implements emergency procedures
- supervises and motivates bakery personnel
- manages associate performance and personnel actions
- schedules staff to ensure coverage
- communicates sales goals
- ensures compliance with company policies
- resolves associate complaints
- answers incoming calls
