Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, grasp, push, pull, carry, twist, crouch, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and coordinate eye, hand, and foot movements
  • Capacity to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Capability to work in varying temperature conditions including hot and cold environments
  • Availability to work flexible schedules
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and security measures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in bakery production and management
  • Knowledge of bakery operations including mixing, baking, and finishing
  • Strong leadership and personnel development skills
  • Ability to prepare production schedules and cost materials effectively
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with inventory control and budgeting
  • Ability to maintain compliance with company policies
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and direction of the bakery department activities
  • Cost out all materials to determine proper retail pricing
  • Prepare master production sheets
  • Implement company training, evaluation, and counselling procedures for department personnel
  • Teach bakery production fundamentals, including mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing
  • Plan merchandising programs for increased sales and assist with cross merchandising ideas
  • Maintain control of department labor and inventory according to budgets
  • Ensure department security complies with company policies
  • Monitor competitive activity in the store marketing area relevant to the bakery department
  • Oversee receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of bakery products
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth product flow and service
  • Maintain department records accurately
