Job Requirements

- Have a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to give and take direction
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing
- Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other kitchen equipment safely
- Stand for extended periods and lift items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety and health regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Possess knowledge of personnel and financial reports
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to give and take direction in a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Capable of performing general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Skilled in operating and using knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Knowledgeable in scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
- Able to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Possess working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
Job Duties
- Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
- Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency, track inventory, and manage the bakery's budget
- Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop improved practices and procedures for bakery operations
- Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- Handle correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage of bakery merchandise
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Manage department inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards
- Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit
- Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
- Participate in the bi-annual performance review process
- Attend and participate in in-store meetings regularly
- Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager
- Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns
- Take and document corrective actions including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination when needed
- Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
- Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
- Lead a team to deliver the finest quality products, highest level of service, and greatest customer experience
- Serve as a Key Carrier and/or act as Manager on Duty as needed
