Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum 2 years retail grocery experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours
- Food Handlers permit
- Dependable and reliable
- Positive attitude towards customers and team
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Knowledge of sales and financial reports
- Adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years retail grocery experience
- Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction
- Possess outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Have working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
- Be physically able to stand for extended periods, lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs, and perform bakery tasks efficiently
- Adhere to all safety, health, and food handling regulations and maintain a valid Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
- Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency, track inventory, and manage the bakery's budget
- Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop improved practices and procedures
- Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Manage department inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to Sprouts standards
- Plan and order according to company standards to maximize sales and gross profit
- Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions
- Make recommendations on merit increases through bi-annual performance reviews
- Regularly attend and participate at in-store meetings
- Recruit, hire and make promotion/transfer decisions with Store Manager collaboration
- Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns
- Take and document corrective actions when needed, including coaching, counseling, progressive discipline
- Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
- Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members
- Lead a team to deliver quality products, service, and customer experience
- Serve as a Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed
