Job Requirements

Job Duties
- provide customers with a remarkable shopping experience by demonstrating, training, and holding store associates accountable for excellent customer service
- achieve department financials including sales, profit and loss, projections, metrics, and analysis by identifying, defining, and implementing best department practices and optimization strategies utilizing innovative solutions
- directly lead department staff with focus on accountability and achieving high level of business performance outcomes for department
- develop department staff through annual appraisal discussions, supervision reports, annual goals and performance review, quarterly progress review, and employee surveys
- implement department's visual merchandising and plan providing innovative solutions, emphasizing fresh product presentation
- effectively utilize resources to improve productivity, flexibility and efficiencies of labor, and quality of shopping experience
- oversee schematic implementation, stocking standards, item to tag integrity, back room organization
- manage product rotation, spoils, shrink, and markdowns
- ensure department's overall cleanliness and conditions
- manage sign and price integrity
- manage department to ensure bakery products are prepared according to banner guidelines and special orders are prepared as requested by customers, including special occasion cakes
- train department staff on procedures including food preparation and packaging, hands-on safety, food safety, and department planning tools
- order product utilizing order and inventory system, pre-orders, promotion and seasonal planning
- analyze and manage product performance to maximize sales and profitability
- manage the accuracy of department inventory
- contribute to overall store conditions including store safety, food safety, sanitation, hazardous waste, and protection of company assets to ensure a safe working and shopping experience
- perform other duties as assigned
