Employing over 4,000 dedicated professionals, Franz Family Bakery distributes its products across several states including Alaska, Idaho, California, Utah, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, making it a regional powerhouse known for consistency and excellence.
At Franz Family Bakery, the culture centers around growth, respect, and innovation. The company is renowned not just for the products it creates, but also for the supportive, inclusive community it fosters among its employees. Franz believes strongly in creating opportunities for professional development and career advancement, which is why they offer extensive growth opportunities, competitive wages, and excellent benefits to their workforce. These benefits encompass comprehensive healthcare plans, pension and retirement funds, generous holiday and vacation packages, and exclusive employee discounts on their high-quality bakery products.
The current opportunity for a Bakery Maintenance Engineer is ideal for hardworking, dedicated individuals who bring technical expertise and a proactive mindset to their work. This position is a pivotal role within the maintenance team, requiring an individual licensed as an LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) or holding an Electrical Journeyman License, who can ensure that bakery production equipment and facility systems run efficiently and with minimal downtime. This role demands a hands-on approach to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency interventions across the bakery’s high-volume production lines, freezers, and general facilities.
The Bakery Maintenance Engineer will be expected to operate in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, safety compliance, and effective communication are paramount. Responsibilities span across multiple facets including conducting scheduled preventative maintenance, reacting swiftly to production line stoppages, maintaining equipment productivity, and documenting all maintenance activities precisely. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment following company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) is equally crucial. The role demands flexibility in shift assignments as the bakery operates 24/7/363 days a year, thus candidates must be open to working various shifts to support continuous operations.
Ideal candidates will bring prior experience in maintenance roles, especially within industrial or production settings, and demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and technologies. The company values initiative, teamwork, and adherence to core values as part of their daily operational ethos. Joining Franz Family Bakery means becoming part of a legacy that not only values tradition and quality but also invests in its people to shape successful careers in the bakery industry.
