Job Requirements

  • Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification
  • Two years of experience in bakery operations or related field
  • Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
  • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly with occasional heavier lifting assistance
  • Ability to work in temperature variations from ovens, freezers, and refrigerators
  • Willingness to handle cleaning agents and bakery-related allergens
  • Must maintain training and certifications in good standing
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in bakery operations, retail, or food production
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes and food safety guidelines
  • Ability to analyze data and make process improvements
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and Email
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain all required training and certifications including ServSafe

Job Duties

  • Lead bakery department operations ensuring high-quality production
  • Manage inventory proactively to maintain proper product availability
  • Execute department operational functions including baking and merchandising to standards
  • Ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and compliance with policies
  • Track and analyze sales, waste, and shrink data for process improvements
  • Maintain sanitation and safety compliance including food safety regulations and equipment maintenance
  • Report operational concerns promptly to management
  • Apply FIFO rotation procedures to reduce waste and maintain quality
  • Conduct quality and date checks to uphold food safety standards
  • Execute seasonal promotions and merchandising initiatives
  • Support club-wide initiatives such as inventory audits and shrink control
  • Conduct daily inspections of bakery cases and coolers
  • Assist with receiving and inspecting shipments for accuracy
  • Support inventory audits and reconciliation efforts
  • Monitor product freshness and quality
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
