The Bakery Department Lead at Sam's Club plays a critical role in driving sales and managing the bakery team to exceed member expectations through high-quality product offerings and excellent service. Job Requirements

  • 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a bakery production department or supervising a team
  • Knowledge of bakery operations and product handling
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience using digital tools and handheld technology
  • Food Handler Certification preferred
  • Experience in bakery production including decorating preferred
  • Ability to manage inventory and compliance
  • Capability to train and develop associates
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to company values

  • Produce and display merchandise according to layout plans
