This position also involves physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and working in various conditions including wet and dry environments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 12+ months retail experience
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours per day
  • ability to perform manual movements including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • readiness to work in wet and dry conditions
  • compliance with health and safety regulations
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to Bakery Team Members
  • works with Bakery Trainer to train Team Members
  • assists in training new Team Members using learning checklists and training materials
  • keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated
  • opens and closes department according to established procedures
  • ensures all necessary breaks are given
  • communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
  • sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution
  • fosters a positive environment of teamwork and respect
  • maintains awareness of customer flows and directs Team Members to satisfy customers
  • selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members
  • provides timely performance evaluations
  • consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Market vision and goals
