The Bakery Customer Service Clerk role is a part-time, regular shift position, paying between 19.00 to 22.00 dollars per hour. Working primarily mid and closing shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with weekends required, the position demands availability and flexibility. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Food Handlers Certificate (ServSafe or ANSI compliant organization)
- Ability to follow directions and established procedures with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Clear and effective communication style, both written and verbal

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service
- address the needs of customers and answer their questions in a timely and effective manner
- Accurately operate bakery cash register
- Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of bakery menu, products, and services
- Take orders with attention to detail including preferences of dairy, vegetables in juice order, cake and pastry orders
- Communicate and consult with baking and decorating staff on special order capabilities, design possibility, and production requirements
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, blended drinks, juice, and smoothies
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked self-serve beverage station
- Maintain proper and accurate signage in display cases
- Assist with packaging, pricing, and merchandising bakery products
- Organize, rotate, and stock workstation and department supplies
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Operate equipment like register, espresso machine, bagel toaster, bread slicer
- Answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Follow and comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations to supervisors
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors
