This role as a Bakery Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the bakery department. Job Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Experience working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred
Knowledge of bakery products preferred
Ability to follow product handling and safety policies
Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds
Ability to work in temperature extreme environments such as freezers and ovens
Ability to maintain a friendly and positive attitude
Regular, predictable, full attendance

Job Qualifications

Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
Knowledge of bakery products preferred
At least 18 years of age

Job Duties

Answer questions and recommend bakery items
Answer member calls and take special orders
Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information using ovens and other equipment
Use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed
Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations
Decorate special order or case product
Rotate and store bakery products following proper work methods on food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
Check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product policies and procedures
Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price check functions when necessary
Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery
Operate and handle bakery equipment using proper work methods in accordance with safety policies and procedures
Maintain all club policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
