This role is for a Bakery Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club, a critical position within the bakery department. The Bakery Team Member is responsible for the proofing and baking of all unfinished bakery goods, ensuring these products meet company quality standards while following specific product handling instructions. This position also involves unpacking frozen bakery products, displaying them according to bakery production chart recommendations, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the bakery section. The team member will use various bakery equipment including ovens, and may package and decorate bakery items such as cookies, pastries, breads, cakes, and pies.

The role requires adherence to all food safety policies, freshness guidelines, proper storage methods, and company standards. This is a hands-on position that demands attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent member service skills. Team members are expected to execute their duties with speed, agility, and accountability, upholding the GOLD Member Standards which focus on greeting, anticipating, appreciating members, and maintaining a fast, friendly, clean, fresh environment.
