The Bakery Team Member role at BJ's Wholesale Club is an essential position within the bakery department, focused on ensuring that all baked goods are prepared, displayed, and maintained to the highest standards. This role requires proofing and baking unfinished bakery goods by following product handling instructions, operating ovens and related equipment, and unpacking and arranging bakery items from the freezer based on the bakery production chart. The role also entails maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the bakery, ensuring food safety, product freshness, and quality control are adhered to strictly. Team members are expected to pack freshly baked goods such as cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, cakes, and pies, while also decorating special order items.

Key responsibilities of the Bakery Team Member include answering member inquiries, taking special orders, rotating and storing bakery products properly, verifying product freshness, generating pricing labels, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
