This position is for a Bakery Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club. The role involves proofing and baking unfinished bakery goods, using ovens and other equipment to prepare a variety of fresh bakery items, such as cookies, muffins, breads, pies, cakes, and pastries following specific product handling information. This position also includes unpacking bakery goods from the freezer, displaying recommended quantities, and decorating special orders. The Bakery Team Member ensures adherence to safety and cleanliness standards and maintains accurate pricing and signage for bakery products. This role requires a friendly, positive attitude focused on delivering excellent service to members and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both members and team members. The role supports the club’s GOLD member standards—greeting members warmly, ensuring product freshness and cleanliness, and executing promotional plans effectively every day. The position requires physical activity, including lifting, moving, and occasional bending or stooping, within an environment with exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning agents. The starting pay for the Bakery Team Member position is $16.25 per hour.
