Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least 18 years of age
- experience working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- ability to work in varying temperature environments including freezers and ovens
- able to stand, bend, reach, and push for extended periods
- availability for regular, predictable attendance
- follow food safety and sanitation policies
- maintain a friendly and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods using ovens and/or other equipment
- use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- package freshly baked goods such as cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, cakes
- unpack and display bakery goods from the freezer according to production chart recommendations
- decorate special orders or case products
- rotate and store bakery products following food safety and freshness policies
- receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- ensure all products meet quality standards and are fresh
- check for out-of-date products and follow salvage/stale product policies
- generate labels and price tickets and ensure items are accurately priced
- clean and sanitize bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- operate bakery equipment safely
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments
- maintain regular and predictable attendance
