This particular role is a Bakery Team Member position within the bakery department of BJ's Wholesale Club. The position involves proofing and baking unfinished bakery goods by following strict product handling procedures and using bakery equipment such as ovens. The Bakery Team Member is responsible for unpacking bakery goods from the freezer, displaying products in appropriate quantities based on production charts, ensuring all items meet company quality standards, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety within the bakery area. Daily interaction with members is essential, as the bakery team member answers questions, recommends products, takes special orders, decorates special orders, and packages freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, and cakes.
