Job Requirements

- experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds
- ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment including freezers and ovens
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- ability to follow safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information
- use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed
- unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations
- decorate special order or case products
- rotate and store bakery products following proper food safety, freshness, and product handling policies
- receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- check for out-of-date products and follow salvage and stale product policies
- generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price check functions
- clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery
- operate bakery equipment using proper safety and work methods
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable full attendance
