As a Bakery Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will play an essential role in ensuring that every bakery product meets the highest standards of quality, freshness, and appearance. Job Requirements

At least 18 years of age
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds, occasionally more with assistance
ability to stand and move frequently during shift
willingness to follow food safety and sanitation standards
dependable attendance
basic communication skills
ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

Experience working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred
knowledge of bakery products preferred
at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

Answer questions and recommend bakery items
answer member calls and take special orders
proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling instructions
use bakery production charts for production and display guidance
package freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, and cakes
unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display appropriate amounts
decorate special order or case products
rotate and store bakery products according to food safety and freshness policies
receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
ensure all products are fresh and meet quality standards
check for out-of-date products and follow salvage policies
generate labels and price tickets accurately
clean and sanitize bakery equipment and surfaces
operate bakery equipment safely
maintain all club policies and procedures
perform additional duties including working in other departments as needed
maintain regular and predictable full attendance
