Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Basic kitchen skills and familiarity with bakery food preparation
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Practice safe food handling procedures
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Good customer service and communication skills

  • Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Duties

  • Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes
  • Roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
  • Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
  • Train assistants and maintain cleanliness of the bakery
  • Maintain records of customer orders
  • Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
  • Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
  • Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
  • Rotate merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
