Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Basic kitchen skills and familiarity with bakery food preparation
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Practice safe food handling procedures
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Good customer service and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Duties
- Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes
- Roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
- Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
- Train assistants and maintain cleanliness of the bakery
- Maintain records of customer orders
- Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
- Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
- Rotate merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
