The Bakery Clerk role at El Rancho Supermercado is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in bakery operations and customer service.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic kitchen skills
  • familiarity with bakery food preparation
  • bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Duties

  • Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes
  • roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
  • cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
  • train assistants and maintain cleanliness of the bakery
  • maintain records of customer orders
  • provide quality customer service and take cake orders
  • ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
  • ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
  • rotate merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
