Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- basic kitchen skills
- familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
- bilingual in English and Spanish
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- able to stand and walk continuously throughout shift
- able to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- basic kitchen skills
- familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
- bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Duties
- Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes
- roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
- cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
- training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
- maintaining records of customer orders
- provide quality customer service and take cake orders
- ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
- rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
