Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic kitchen skills
  • familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
  • bilingual in English and Spanish
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand and walk continuously throughout shift
  • able to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
  • bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Duties

  • Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes
  • roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
  • cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
  • training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
  • maintaining records of customer orders
  • provide quality customer service and take cake orders
  • ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
  • rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
