Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work within a team
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
  • Use bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
  • Able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift items up to 40 lbs
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Food Handlers regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience

  • Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit and adhere to all safety and health regulations

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery department area and equipment
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Operate bakery equipment and tools including knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
  • Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
