Job Requirements

  • Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
  • ability to perform all physical aspects of position, including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, and walking
  • ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs and push and pull up to 100 lbs
  • ability to work within a freezer for up to 15 minutes
  • ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
  • must be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • attend meetings and training sessions when called upon
  • must maintain a current food safety certification
  • ability to function as a team member and get along with others

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous retail or customer service experience beneficial
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • familiarity with food safety standards and practices
  • capability to learn product details and demonstrate products to guests
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests upon entering the bakery area
  • exceed guests' expectations for service and build a reputation for ultimate service
  • be attentive to guests' needs and ready to serve or direct them
  • walk all department displays every two hours ensuring cleanliness, proper merchandising, signage, and lighting
  • ensure packing guidelines are followed
  • verify quality product availability and proper rotation
  • demo and sell products as time permits or management instructs
  • complete daily duties accurately and timely
  • comply with all company policies and procedures
  • accurately document and process special orders
  • assist in break-out and dishwashing as needed
  • practice safe work habits maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety
  • ensure adherence to all food safety procedures
  • assist in training new team members
  • perform other duties as requested by management
