Job Requirements
- Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
- ability to perform all physical aspects of position, including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs and push and pull up to 100 lbs
- ability to work within a freezer for up to 15 minutes
- ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- must be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays
- attend meetings and training sessions when called upon
- must maintain a current food safety certification
- ability to function as a team member and get along with others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience beneficial
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
- familiarity with food safety standards and practices
- capability to learn product details and demonstrate products to guests
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- basic math skills
Job Duties
- Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests upon entering the bakery area
- exceed guests' expectations for service and build a reputation for ultimate service
- be attentive to guests' needs and ready to serve or direct them
- walk all department displays every two hours ensuring cleanliness, proper merchandising, signage, and lighting
- ensure packing guidelines are followed
- verify quality product availability and proper rotation
- demo and sell products as time permits or management instructs
- complete daily duties accurately and timely
- comply with all company policies and procedures
- accurately document and process special orders
- assist in break-out and dishwashing as needed
- practice safe work habits maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety
- ensure adherence to all food safety procedures
- assist in training new team members
- perform other duties as requested by management
