- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
- be dependable and reliable
- able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior
- possess good communication skills
- capable of taking direction and working in a team
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform housekeeping and sanitization
- operate bakery tools and equipment
- able to stand for long hours
- able to transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety and health regulations
- maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications

- have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- capable of working flexible schedules including night, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior
- possess good communication skills
- ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work area
- able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
- able to stand for extended periods and transfer items up to specified weights
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service
- ensure cleanliness of the bakery department area
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy
- examine rotation of bakery products and discard outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
