Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Have good communication skills
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
Be able to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and transfer trays and items weighing up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Be able to answer phones and handle special orders
Understand the use of bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Maintain a Food Handler's permit and knowledge of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

Assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing the bakery area
