Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to perform medium physical work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to work night and weekend shifts
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and dress guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing hard-to-reach items, loading or unloading heavy objects, passing along customer requests
- Review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Review orders for the day and take customer orders at the bakery counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean and neat work area
- Prepare, finish and replenish bakery products as necessary
- Operate department registers and handle payments where applicable
- Remove trash promptly
- Maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Report to work on schedule and on time
