Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically from 7" to 64"
- Ability to transfer items up to 40 lbs vertically and horizontally for distances up to 36 feet
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and pallet jacks
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team environment
- Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Have knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure baked goods are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy, examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the bakery department
