Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
  • dependable and reliable
  • availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
  • good communication skills
  • ability to take direction and work in a team
  • able to answer phones and take special orders
  • capable of general housekeeping and sanitation
  • ability to operate bakery equipment
  • able to stand up to 3 hours continuously
  • able to handle moderate lifting and transferring of bakery products
  • compliant with safety and health regulations and possess or obtain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • good communication skills
  • ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
  • able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • ability to stand for extended periods and transfer trays and items up to specified weights
  • adhere to all safety, health and regulatory requirements and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work area
