- ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- ability to maintain product quality and safety standards
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

- food handler certification
- ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and calibrated scales
- ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as bread slicers and commercial ovens
- ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes
- ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools
- ability to communicate effectively with customers and partners
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- attentive to hazards and capable of placing warning signs
Job Duties
- Packages bakery products
- labels bakery items
- prices bakery products
- maintains stock levels
- monitors product quality including dates, appearance, and temperature
- assists bakery personnel with product preparation
- maintains product displays
- promotes product sales through suggestive selling
- stacks pallets and sorts products
- maintains clean and sanitary work and shopping environment
- greets customers
- answers customer questions
- takes orders by phone and in person
