Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • dependable and reliable
  • able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • capable of standing for long periods
  • able to lift and transfer weights up to 40 lbs
  • hold a valid food handlers permit
  • follow safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • possess good communication skills
  • able to operate bakery equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • ability to stand for extended periods and transfer trays and items safely
  • adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • food handlers permit

Job Duties

  • assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • stand for up to 3 hours continuously, perform vertical and horizontal transferring of trays and items
  • answer phones and take special orders
