Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or relevant education
- Be dependable and reliable
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
- Capability to clean and sanitize work areas
- Experience operating bakery tools and equipment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Adherence to safety and health regulations
- Valid Food Handler's permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Possess dependable and reliable work habits with a flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to participate in a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Able to maintain physical stamina required for the role
- Ability to adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
- Maintain a valid Food Handler's permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy for bakery products while rotating and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy of product, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Participate in a team environment and follow directions
