Job Requirements
- Ability to work at fast-paced but efficient and controlled manner
- ability to perform all physical aspects of position including standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and push and pull up to 100 lbs
- ability to work within a freezer for up to 15 minutes
- ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- flexibility to work various hours and shifts including weekends and holidays
- attend meetings and training sessions when called upon
- maintain current food safety certification
- ability to function as a team member and get along with others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in bakery or retail sales is an asset
- knowledge of food safety standards
- strong customer service skills
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- ability to follow instructions and policies
- teamwork and collaboration skills
- willingness to learn and adapt to fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests entering the bakery area
- exceed guests' expectations for service and build a reputation for ultimate service
- be attentive to guests' needs and serve or direct them accordingly
- walk department displays every two hours ensuring cleanliness, merchandising, signage, and proper lighting
- ensure packing guidelines are followed
- ensure quality products are stocked and rotated
- demo and sell products as time permits
- complete daily duties accurately and timely
- follow all company policies and procedures
- write and follow detailed instructions on special orders
- assist in break-out and dishwashing as needed
- practice safe work habits and maintain store cleanliness
- adhere to all food safety procedures
- assist in training new team members
- perform other related duties as requested by management
