Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • physical ability to stand for long periods without sitting
  • capability to lift and move baking ingredients weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to operate ovens and baking machinery safely
  • willingness to work in a busy and friendly workplace

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bakery chef or in a similar baking role
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
  • ability to operate commercial baking equipment
  • strong attention to detail and quality control
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy baking ingredients
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread cakes cookies pastries pies and other specialty items
  • operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
  • monitor ingredient inventory levels order supplies and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • clean and sanitize baking equipment workstations and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • regularly inspect baked goods for quality ensuring they meet the bakery standards in appearance texture and taste
  • adhere to daily par sheet requirements to fulfill production needs
  • comply with health department regulations and company food safety standards through proper food handling and cleanliness practices
