Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior baking experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- physical ability to stand for long periods without sitting
- capability to lift and move baking ingredients weighing up to 50 pounds
- ability to operate ovens and baking machinery safely
- willingness to work in a busy and friendly workplace
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bakery chef or in a similar baking role
- knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
- ability to operate commercial baking equipment
- strong attention to detail and quality control
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy baking ingredients
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread cakes cookies pastries pies and other specialty items
- operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
- monitor ingredient inventory levels order supplies and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- clean and sanitize baking equipment workstations and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- regularly inspect baked goods for quality ensuring they meet the bakery standards in appearance texture and taste
- adhere to daily par sheet requirements to fulfill production needs
- comply with health department regulations and company food safety standards through proper food handling and cleanliness practices
