Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Up to six months of similar or related work experience
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Good vision including color vision and depth perception, with or without correction
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
- Adherence to sanitation procedures and company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Basic arithmetic skills including fractions and percentages
- Ability to file, post, copy data and guide people
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of bakery decorating techniques is a plus
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items
- Answers telephone promptly and takes product orders
- Takes customer orders at bakery counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Checks orders and sets production schedule
- Decorates bakery items timely
- Keeps current on new designs and trends
- Ensures department standards are met
- Checks cake orders for details and supply needs
- Orders supplies for decorating area
- Delivers and sets up wedding cakes on site
- Communicates with bakery manager daily
- Checks product dates and pulls cases for work
- Develops bakery orders for bakers
- Tracks daily retail production
- Operates as lead worker with part-time employees
- Participates in employee cross training
- Practices proper sanitation
- Adheres to company policies
- Reports to work when scheduled
- Wraps products as necessary
- Assists in other store areas
- Performs other job related duties
