El Bolillo Bakery started as a small Mexican bakery in the Greater Heights area of Houston and has grown significantly due to its commitment to fresh pastries and excellent customer service. Known for its wide variety of everyday fresh baked goods, the bakery quickly gained popularity, leading to expansion into a larger facility across the street from the original location. Its continued success encouraged the opening of a second location in the South side of Houston off S. Wayside. As a thriving community business, El Bolillo Bakery is also an active member of the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce and remains dedicated to maintaining its role in the local community. This family-oriented bakery prides itself on preserving traditional Mexican baking techniques while innovating to meet the demands of its diverse customer base.
The role of Cake Decorator at El Bolillo Bakery is an essential position responsible for the artistic design and decoration of cakes and other bakery products. The position requires a creative and detail-oriented professional who can not only decorate and fill cakes with precision but also prepare icing and assist in training bakery assistants. Maintaining the bakery’s cleanliness and ensuring top-notch customer service are also vital components of this role. The Cake Decorator works closely with customers to understand and fulfill their order requirements and maintain accurate records of these orders. This position demands someone with a strong ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, and the capability to follow instructions carefully. Knowledge of baking principles, as well as safe use of bakery equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens, is mandatory. Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is beneficial to support a broad customer base.
