The role of a Bakery Associate at Pyramid Foods is integral to the success of the bakery deli department. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 60 lb boxes occasionally
  • Able to exert 25-60 lbs of force frequently and 10-20 lbs constantly while moving and handling materials and products
  • Dexterous use of both hands
  • Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations
  • Able to lift, carry, push and pull items
  • Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments used in food preparation
  • Good corrected vision and hearing
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, stand, reach, push, and pull
  • Able to work on slippery floors
  • Must be able to work both part-time and full-time as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a bakery or deli setting is an asset but not required
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and handling practices
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Providing exceptional service to all clientele and sharing your knowledge of bakery deli goods
  • Maintaining, cleaning, and keeping proper signage in the Bakery Deli Department
  • Assisting with cleaning, filling display tables, and assisting with wrapping product
  • Rotating and pulling merchandise
  • Following all safety guidelines and reporting any missing or non-functional safety equipment
  • Complying with all company policies including following dress code and wearing name tag
  • Completing all company training as required for the Bakery Deli Department
